Happy Easter weekend!

We had a variety of easter festivities over the weekend.

Here are some of the fun things we got to do.

Ryker had a field trip with his preschool class! He got
to see baby bunnies and hold these adorable baby chicks
This is Easter morning at our house
Ryker was so happy that the easter bunny didn't poop in his basket
We kept tellin him you better be good or the easter bunny might just leave
bunny poop in your basket (I know it's gross) but it worked!
We had an easter egg hunt at Grandma Jens house

day & could not get the blue dye off!
This is another egg hunt at Grammy Andi's & Papa Bill's
I love it when the kids get to play with all of their cousins
I wish I would have gotten more pictures of all of the kids
It's hard to get them all to stay in one place!
Violet loves being outside!
You can tell by that sweet little grin she has on her face.
Of course through all of the fun it's always nice to
remember the true meaning of easter
our heavenly brother and savior Jesus christ's
death and resurrection
making it possible for us all to live again
after we die and to be with our families forever!

My muse.........

Gary is seriously funnyHe came home from work the other day and informed me

he made an online purchase

So I was thinking something big & expensive

I was about to scold him
& then he told me he only spent $20 bucks

He said a man at work smelled like gingerbread and

he wanted to smell like that too

so he found a cologne online that smells like these:

Sugar cookie
Brownie

and last but not least graham cracker
what can I say? The man definently keeps it interesting
and he has unique qualities
I can tell you this I am probably going to be hungry
all of the time with gary's new man stench
I probably could have got him a spray bottle
at bath & body works that smells just like his new cologne
but that's why he is so funny and I like to laugh

My silver lining.........

You ever have one of those days when you don't think another thing can go wrong and then it does? Well that was me yesterday I was one big mess. I will spare all of the messy details lets just say it was pretty bad. Anyhow in those times I think it's so easy to think negatively and let those dark clouds make you feel down and depressed but that was not what I was taught to do. I was taught to look for those silver linings in those dark clouds and I did. My silver lining will always be these three people:#1. This man can make me laugh

he loves me and I love him.

Even on my worse days he can always put

a smile on my face

#2. This boy is my first.
He made me a better person
he has a big heart and a great sense of humor.
#3. This baby she is a light in my life
everytime she says HI! My heart melts
she is my little sweetheart.

As you can see we have fallen in love with this little guy

over and over again she is super cute with him.

Nicknames.....

I was reminiscing over all the nicknames I have called my kids over the years and thought I would share a few..........

Rykers nicknames- Rykee roo, Rykes, Bubbas, Boo, Mister moo moo, and his latest nickname bugga. He always tells me "mom i'm your bugga"
Violets nicknames so far- Vy vy, miss violet, sissa, sissa cat moo moo, miss moo moo, and Gary always calls her moose.
Isn't it funny the nicknames we come up with?
I remember my Dad telling me he called me pee-pod and called my sister pooken-heimer when we were little. It must run in the family all of these nicknames.
I write them here because I want to remember them in case I ever lose memory of it. I had a hard time remembering all of Rykers (sad huh?) and I am sure he is missing more than a few
of the cute little pet names we used to call him.
